As of April 8, 2025, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not officially announced its candidate for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025. The party's National Working Committee (NWC) decided on March 6, 2025, to adopt the indirect primary method to select its candidate, aiming to ensure a transparent and inclusive process.

Several aspirants have declared their intentions to contest under the APC banner:

  • Prof. Obiora Okonkwo: Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, he announced his candidacy on February 1, 2025, emphasizing his commitment to transforming Anambra into a beacon of excellence and good governance.

  • Paul Chukwuma: A former National Auditor of the APC, Chukwuma declared his intention on November 24, 2024, focusing on addressing insecurity and infrastructural challenges in the state.

  • Nicholas Ukachukwu: An APC gubernatorial aspirant who, on January 9, 2025, donated ₦63 million to the party in Anambra State while declaring his bid for the governorship, highlighting his dedication to the party's success.

The APC's national leadership, under Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed a preference for a consensus candidate to avoid internal conflicts and strengthen the party's chances in the forthcoming election. Ganduje emphasized the importance of unity among party members during a meeting on February 4, 2025.

Given the evolving political landscape and the absence of an official announcement from the APC regarding its governorship candidate for Anambra State, it is advisable to consult official party communications or reputable news outlets for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
