Bayern Munich has officially announced that Thomas Müller will depart the club at the end of the 2024–2025 season, concluding a remarkable 25-year tenure. In recognition of his significant contributions, the club will honor him with a testimonial match.

Müller, who joined Bayern's youth academy at age 10, has become the club's record appearance maker with 743 competitive matches. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in securing numerous titles, including 12 Bundesliga championships, six domestic cups, and two Champions League trophies.

In an emotional statement, Müller expressed his gratitude:

"It’s been an incredible journey, shaped by unique experiences, great encounters, and unforgettable triumphs. I feel immense gratitude and joy that I got to make this career with my beloved club."

Bayern Munich's President, Herbert Hainer, lauded Müller’s legacy:

"Thomas Müller is the definition of a Bavarian fairytale career; he grew in Bavaria and with Bayern. From Ammersee to the Allianz Arena, as far as Asia and America. Nobody has won more Bundesliga titles, and 33 trophies in total so far speak volumes."

The testimonial match aims to celebrate Müller's illustrious career and offer fans an opportunity to bid farewell to a club legend. Details regarding the date and opponents for the testimonial will be announced in due course.

As Müller prepares to conclude his time with Bayern Munich, he remains focused on contributing to the team's success in the remaining fixtures, aiming to add to his impressive tally of 33 trophies with the club.
