The Paramount Ruler of Umuna Ancient Kingdom and Head of Isu Clan, HRM Eze (Dr.) Douglas Okwara, Okwarachukwu IV has penned the Executive Governor Of Imo State, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma, thanking him for all the good works he is doing in Orlu LGA, especially as they involve his autonomous community, Umuna ancient kingdom.
The Monarch who recently accompanied the state governor on his oversight of ongoing projects in Orlu, commended Uzodinma for his huge investments on the Kidney Transplant Centre and the newly completed Oxygen Plant at the Imo State University Teaching Hospital, Umuna, Orlu LGA, which, according to him would go a long way in attracting medical hospitality and tourism to both the state and his ancient community, as well as reaffirming the governor's drive for quality and affordable health care.
Eze Okwarachukwu's letter reads as follows;
Your Excellency,
With profound gratitude and deep admiration, I, HRM Eze (Dr.) Douglas Okwara, Okwarachukwu IV, the Igwe and Paramount Ruler of Umuna Ancient Kingdom, and Head of Isu Clan, Orlu LGA, Imo State, extend my heartfelt appreciation to you for your visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to the infrastructural and developmental transformation of our beloved Umuna in Orlu Municipal.
Your tenure has heralded an era of unprecedented progress, marked by a series of landmark projects that have significantly uplifted our community. The approval, payment, and ongoing installation of state-of-the-art medical equipment underscore your resolute commitment to excellence in healthcare. The ongoing refurbishment of Phase 1 of Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH) is a monumental step in revitalizing our healthcare system, ensuring that quality medical services become more accessible to the people of Imo State.
Furthermore, your administration’s foresight is evident in the construction of an Infectious Disease Centre by Seplat, the Oxygen (Gas) Plant awaiting commissioning by Global Fund, and the Cardio-thoracic Centre initiated by the Imo State Government—all of which stand as enduring legacies of your dedication to a robust healthcare infrastructure. Additionally, the solar street light installation by the NDDC is a transformative initiative that enhances security, improves night-time visibility, and fosters a safer and more prosperous community.
One of the most profound testaments to your leadership is the long-awaited rehabilitation and construction of road networks within Umuna—an infrastructural milestone I had not witnessed in decades. The sheer joy and relief of seeing these roads constructed after so many years cannot be overstated. It is a testament to your unyielding resolve to improve the lives of our people and connect communities for greater economic and social prosperity.
Your Excellency, history will remember you as a leader whose passion for development and service to humanity knows no bounds. Your remarkable achievements in Umuna and across Imo State have left an indelible mark that will be cherished for generations. On behalf of my people, I extend our profound gratitude and unwavering support for your administration.
