On this momentous International Women’s Day 2025, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all women in Nwangele LGA and beyond.

This day provides us with a significant opportunity to honor the strength, resilience, and remarkable accomplishments of women around the world.

The theme for this year, “For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” resonates deeply as it serves as a powerful call to action against the myriad injustices faced by women, including rape, female genital mutilation, and all forms of gender-based violence.

As the Executive Chairman of Nwangele Local Government Area, I am firmly convinced that the empowerment of women is pivotal to forging stronger communities and fostering a more prosperous society.

In our commitment to enhancing the lives of women, we are prioritizing Maternal and Child Health Programs. We strive to ensure that pregnant women and nursing mothers have access to quality healthcare services through upgraded medical facilities and community-based health initiatives. To this end, we have organized a comprehensive free medical outreach program that has reached numerous women, facilitating access to essential healthcare services.

Additionally, we are dedicated to increasing women's participation in governance and leadership, aligning with the progressive vision championed by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, who advocates for women’s inclusion in decision-making processes.

As we celebrate this year's International Women’s Day, let us remember that empowered women empower the world. Together, we can inspire inclusion and drive positive change. Let us create a more inclusive future for everyone.
