DELEGATION FROM THE OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR, IMO STATE, VISITS ORLU LGA HEADQUARTERS

A high-powered delegation from the Office of the Executive Governor amongst which were Inspectors from Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs who were on the Field work on Assessment of Executed Projects in the 27 LGA's of the State by the Directives of the State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma through  Hon.Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Mrs Rubby Emele to ascertain the level of Executed Projects in the LGA's of the State which is 

In conformity with the 3R mantra  of this administration. 

 The Inspection team from the Ministry led by their HOD, Inspectorate Department, Mr Igbo Martins was at the council Headquarters for the ongoing inspections.

Sequel to this, he  stated  the purpose  of their visitation to the council Chairman which  among other  things were to ascertain the level of completion of road grading exercise done between December 2024 to January 2025.  purpose was to conduct a physical inspection and on-the-spot assessment of the performance of the Executive Chairman of Orlu LGA, Hon. Pastor Chris Mbarie, since he assumed office.

The Executive Chairman welcomed the team and personally took them around the council to showcase the completed and ongoing projects. Also, the team visited some roads graded by the council in the various communities within the LGA.

 Some of the projects visited and recorded by the inspection team includes:

 1) Renovated and Refurbished Council Hall

2)Newly sunk borehole

 

3)On going Administrative Office block of Nine Rooms to accommodate the Staff in the council and An Exco Chamber office at the Decking stage

4)Customary Court Building renovated Block

5)Installation of Solar panels in the council

6)Newly Graded Umuna/Umudiatu Road 

7)Newly Graded Ama Ezie/Ama Okonko Umuna Road 

 8)Umudike/Teaching Hospital Road

 9)Umuna Umudeato Road-2 .5km

10)Okoroezike Tap Road -2.8km, and many more 

The leader of the team, who is also the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Rural Development, expressed satisfaction and marvelled at the numerous achievements recorded by the Chris Mbarie-led administration.

The Executive Chairman Hon. Mbarie, who expressed his appreciations to the team, thanked them for coming and assured them of greater works in Orlu LGA, he also expresses his appreciations to the Executive governor of the state. His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma for finding him worthy to pilot the affairs of the LGA and promise to make him proud here in the LGA
