*OMEOGO'S COMMITTEE ON INTER-GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS VISITS NATIONAL LOTTERY REGULATORY COMMISSION ON OVERSIGHT.*
The member representing the great people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu (Omeogo, Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu), who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs of the 10th National Assembly and member of the 6th ECOWAS Parliament, on Tuesday, 16th July 2024, led his Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs, which he is the Chairman, to an oversight function at the National Lottery Regulatory Commission Headquarters in Abuja. NLRC is one of the MDAs under the purview of the House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs for oversight.
On arrival, the committee headed by Hon. Omeogo was warmly received by the topmost management of the commission headed by the Director-General, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila.
In the meeting/interactive session that took place at the boardroom of the commission, the DG, Mr. Gbajabiamila OON used the opportunity to tabled all the challenges confronting the commission to the committee, which includes having a permanent befitting office for the commission instead of operating from an expensive rented office and to set up a Central Monitoring System (CMS) technology for thorough monitoring of operations in the industry and to maximize revenue for government in the industry.
The committee assured the commission of their readiness to look into the tabled issues and to support and ensure that all avenues are used to ensure that their demands are met for the smooth running of the commission for greater efficiency and revenue generation for the government.
Omeogo is doing well. He knows his functions and he's performing and overseeing them perfectly. The voice of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East is loud and clear everywhere you go.
