Nigerian U-20 center-back Benjamin Frederick has finalized a move to English Premier League outfit Brentford, as confirmed by Excel Magazine International.

The 18-year-old, hailing from Simoiben Football Club academy in Kaduna State, founded by Moses Simon, joins Brentford on a permanent basis after impressing during a loan spell last summer.

Despite interest from European heavyweights such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and FC Porto, Frederick opted to commit his future to Brentford.

The activation of a buy option clause, confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, has sealed the deal, securing Frederick a four-year contract.

Frederick's arrival bolsters Brentford's Nigerian contingent, joining compatriot Frank Onyeka. He begins his journey with the club in the B setup, having already displayed promise during training with the first team.

Notably, Frederick has already made appearances in several high-profile fixtures, including Premier League clashes against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as an Emirates FA Cup encounter versus Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Frederick has vowed to repay the club's faith by giving his best on the field.

His international experience includes representing Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he featured prominently in six matches for the Flying Eagles.
