MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE APC CHAIRMAN, OHAFOR OKPORO/UMUTANZE INEC WARD, ORLU LGA, IMO STATE.
On the 4th of April 2024, the news of the inauguration of the 6th Ecowas Parliament Legislators by His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was all over the media, and one man who was at the centre of the epoch making event is our own man, Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu (Omeogo Na Orlu, Ogbaturuenyi Na Igbo land).
The only High Chief as fondly called by His Excellency, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives and his colleagues in the green Chamber, is a man of great destiny, who on his first entry into the National Assembly was also made a standing Committee Chairman on Inter- Governmental Affairs with an oversight function extending to the office of the Secretary to the General of the federation, (SGF)(National Cabinet Office), Lottery board and gaming commissions and others.
So far, his contributions in the National Assembly are too many to mention, and I can authoritatively state here that the good people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru - East Federal Constituency are highly privileged for having a first class representative as our mouthpiece in the citadel of power. His induction as one of the Ecowas Parliamentary Legislators has not only connected us to the national grid, but has given us a bragging right that out of 360 Federal constituencies in the country, that our own Federal Constituency representative is among the eighteen (18) elected to represent Nigerians in the Ecowas Parliament, (Government).
The credit for all these achieved milestone by the Ebeteete Okporo , Orlu born Politician goes to the political Iroko of our time - Onwa Oyoko Global, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma; who has groomed, mentored and molded our own Omeogo into this astute, impeccable and sophisticated politician that has added greater amount of finesse in modern legislative assignments.
In conclusion, Omeogo is like a proverbial phoenix that rises with great momentum, defying all odds and getting all expected results. He's a strategic bridge builder and a fellow whose modus operandi and modus vivendi is anchored on futuristic thinking, futuristic reasoning and futuristic positioning. No wonder, he has carved a niche for himself in effective lawmaking and representation in the 8 months he has spent so far in the House of Representative. So let's rally around him and continue praying for him to succeed and bring dividends of democracy to our Constituency.
