Jigawa State Governor Approves 50% Increase in Public School Feeding Fees

 Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has given the green light to a significant 50% rise in feeding fees for students in public boarding schools. 

This decision, announced by Commissioner for Higher Education, Yusuf Chamo, aims to address concerns over the provision of quality and nutritious meals amidst rising inflation. 

Chamo emphasized that the increase was crucial to sustain the delivery of hygienic and high-quality food items by contractors, ensuring the well-being of students across the state.

 The move follows a thorough review by the state government, reflecting its commitment to maintaining standards and addressing immediate challenges in the education sector.
