Renowned Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor has reportedly passed away after a prolonged battle with a serious illness.

The 60-year-old veteran actor, known for his remarkable contributions to the Nigerian film industry, had been grappling with health challenges for some time.

In a recent plea on social media, Muonagor appealed to the public for financial support to undergo a critical kidney transplant procedure in India. While his death has not been officially confirmed by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, an outpouring of grief from fans on various social media platforms attests to the profound impact of his loss on the entertainment community.

This tragic news comes in the wake of the recent passing of another Nollywood icon, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, who succumbed to a similar health crisis on March 2, 2024.

As the Nigerian film industry mourns the loss of yet another beloved talent, tributes continue to pour in, honoring the legacy of Amaechi Muonagor and his contributions to Nollywood.
