In a shocking incident, Francis Marvellous, a 300-level student at Imo State University (IMSU), has been apprehended by Imo State Police for allegedly stabbing to death Chinagorom Marvellous Kingsley, a final year Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) student and member of the university's Man O' War Unit.
This information was communicated in a statement signed by ASP OKOYE HENRY, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command.
The arrest followed a swift response to a distress call, with the suspect narrowly escaping a lynching by an enraged mob. The police are actively pursuing three other individuals mentioned by the suspect in connection to the incident.
While dispelling false narratives circulating on social media, Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma urges the public to refrain from intertribal conflict, emphasizing ongoing efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
