*IMO STATE CHAIRMAN NURTW HON COMRADE SAMUEL UDEH MEETS UNIT CHAIRMEN OPERATING IN MUNICIPAL*

As a follow up to the visit of the Imo State Waste Management Agency to the secretariat of the national union of road transport workers in Imo State.
State Chairman of NURTW Chief Samuel Udeh JP (Eze Umuokorobia) summoned the unit chairmen operating under Imo City Transport together with their branch chairman Engr Nwosu Onyedikachi (Shinkachi).
The meeting was to inform the leaders of these units about the programmes of the ISWAMAC and the need to cooperate with them to achieve their goal of having a clean environment in the capital city.
NURTW Boss called on those Imo City Transport drivers loading along the roads of Owerri metropolis to with immediate effect stop, and warned that anyone catch will have himself to be blamed.
He directed drivers loading at Ama JK to move in to the parking slot at bank road junction by Douglas road. Those operating through Okigwe road are to move in to the park located along Okigwe road, by new fire service Okigwe road. Those around Emmanuel college are to move in to old new market. While those operating around control post are to also move in to the new park around the axis. Those of Imsu junction, Nkwo Orji are to move in to the designated parks.
Ambassador Samuel reminded the unit chairmen about the existing good working relationship the union have with the State government, and also the love the State Governor has for the union members in the State. Which has earned the union in the State much recognition under the people's Governor Sen Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Onyoko) administration.
He also reminded them about free fuel the State government has offered them in the past.
Eze Umuokorobia stated further that is about time union members should in all sincerity show appreciation to the State Government for providing them with quality roads in the State capital, that has reduced daily expenses in vehicle maintenance like they experienced before now because of the bad roads in the State.
Ukwenga said as unionist, we should reciprocate the love the State Governor have for the union through complying with the ISWAMAC to achieve their assignment of giving Imolites a clean environment.
State chapter of NURTW will support ISWAMAC to have a clean and healthy State capital. He equally told them to inform passengers on boarding to desist from throwing waste on the road while in the vehicle, such acts are no longer permitted.
Chief Udeh warned seriously and directed that they dislodge all illegal parks and loading along the roads, as anyone catch going contrary will face the consequences.
The branch chairman of the Imo City Transport Engr Nwosu Onyedikachi (Shinkachi) while reacting commended and thanked the State chairman for his commitment and leadership as the State chairman of the union and assured him of compliance with the directives and adherence to all that has been said on complying with the ISWAMAC in order for them to achieve results in the State.
